Want broadband internet but don’t know where to begin? Below you’ll find all the information you need to get a broadband connection with iPrimus.

Remember, if you choose one of our flexible broadband plans:

  • you can change to a different flexible plan without penalty; and
  • you can purchase top-ups for heavy usage months.

To see if broadband access is available in your area, use our online "Can I get Broadband" tool – on the right hand side of this page.

The results of this initial check will show the iPrimus Broadband Internet services likely to be available to you. A more detailed assessment is necessary to confirm this availability, which can be done over the phone or once an online application is received.

ADSL 2+ means you can select one of our Broadband 2+ plans
DSL Plus means you can select one of our DSL Plus plans
Broadband ADSL service means you can select one of our Starter, Everyday, Intense or Ultra broadband internet plans

Before applying for an iPrimus Broadband connection, you should check the specifications detailed below.

System Requirements

The minimum computer hardware and software specifications necessary to install and use the iPrimus Broadband ADSL service are outlined below. These may vary depending on the type of computer you have. iPrimus supports both Windows and Apple Macintosh computers.

Minimum Specifications

iPrimus has tested a number of ADSL modems and related equipment on the iPrimus ADSL Network. The following has been tested, approved and is supported by iPrimus Technical Support:

Note: USB ADSL modems are not available for use on all Windows NT 4.0 and some Windows 95 Operating Systems due to lack of USB Support. Customers using Windows 98 Revision A will be required to use the ethernet option on the Netcomm NB5 ADSL modem.

*** iPrimus will only support the Alcatel Speed Touch Pro modems when configured in bridged mode for iPrimus Broadband ADSL Residential services. If you select the ‘Bring Your Own Modem’ option, you should confirm with the iPrimus Sales team on 1300 85 48 48 that the modem you are using is suitable.
