PRIMUS INTELLIGENT NETWORK TO STREAMLINE CALL CENTRE OPERATIONS

Melbourne, Australia, August 24, 2005 - Business customers operating call centres or inbound call services will benefit from the latest Intelligent Network (IN) services introduced by Primus Telecom.

This state-of-the-art technology will give corporate users the benefit of dynamic routing of calls for optimum performance, provide managers with online performance reporting to help provide better service levels, as well as providing end users with more appropriate treatment of their call.

Users operating call centres or inbound 1800, 1300 and 13 prefixes, as well as security companies and others using ‘back-to-base’ services stand to gain significant benefits from the latest Primus IN services.

The introduction of Primus IN builds on the development of Primus’s own next generation DSL infrastructure around Australia with close to 200 DSLAMs being installed in exchanges around Australia for 2005.

“Primus IN takes the operation of call centres and inbound call services to a new level of sophistication and functionality,” said Primus Telecom Managing Director, Greg Wilson.

“It effectively streamlines the call process and ensures that incoming calls are routed to optimum answer points depending on their origin, date and time. Calls can be relayed to secondary locations in the event of an overflow, or distributed between multiple centres during heavy traffic flow”.

The Chief Executive Officer of eServGlobal, Patrick McGrory, said the solution being deployed by Primus Telecom would provide better Network Intelligence to its business and corporate customers, while generating additional revenues and improving margins.

“The Primus solution represents the most advanced intelligent networking technology available in the world today and sets the stage for continued service innovation from Primus. The same system that is being used to deliver services across Primus’ fixed network can also be used on Primus’ broadband network,” he said

Primus business customers will also benefit from an enhanced array of reporting features that provide valuable information on caller profiles. This new ‘smart’ technology provides call distribution and call duration reports, as well as answer point reports sorted by geography, postcode and time of day, while providing valuable marketing information on call source and volumes.

Businesses are able to better manage their caller demand, while marketers are able to get up-to-the-minute responses on marketing campaigns and initiatives.
